Innovategy is a productivity-focused ideation platform that helps users validate the uniqueness of their ideas. By simply entering an idea, users receive a uniqueness score and suggestions of similar tools or products. Beyond that, the platform empowers users to take interviews, share ideas publicly, and even earn certificates based on their innovation process.
My responsibility was to design a comprehensive yet easy-to-navigate web app that supports idea management, team collaboration, and insight generation. The layout includes a left-hand sidebar with structured navigation, dashboards for quick insights, and thoughtfully categorized sections for better content discoverability. The final product offers a balance between analytical feedback and creative exploration.

01 Background

The client envisioned a tool that could guide aspiring entrepreneurs, creators, and teams through the ideation phase of product development. With many people unsure whether their ideas are unique or viable, Innovategy was created to solve this gap by offering real-time uniqueness scoring, related product discovery, and collaboration tools to validate ideas further..

02 The Challenges

The concept was new, requiring thoughtful UX flows to educate users while minimizing friction.
The app combined multiple functions—scoring, saving, publishing, collaborating—without overwhelming users.
Needed to present complex data (e.g., uniqueness scores, comparisons, certificates) in a simple, accessible manner.
Ensuring that each sidebar menu item led to a clean, intuitive interface for a specific user task.

03 The Solution

I approached the design with a modular and clean UI system. The sidebar was structured for clarity, grouping core features like “Ideas,” “Workspace,” and “Certificates” under intuitive categories. I used a card-based layout to display idea details, comparison results, and progress. Interactive elements such as idea scoring, certificate previews, and user interview steps were designed to be engaging yet minimal.

The visual style combines productivity with creativity—through a balanced use of whitespace, vibrant accent colors, and friendly typography. As a result, Innovategy became a cohesive and scalable tool for teams and solo innovators to explore and refine their ideas with confidence.
